WHY NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF THE EISTEDDFOD SOCIETY?
Appeal for Annual Membership
The Guernsey Eisteddfod Society was formed in 1921 and from that year, with the exception of the war years, we have held a Festival annually to encourage the talents of the islanders, young and old in French, Guernsey French, English Speech and Drama, Music, Artistic Roller Skating, Art, Craftwork, Needlework, Photography, Cookery, Literary work, Shorthand and Typing, Flower Arranging, Silk Painting and Wine making.
The Eisteddfod is very grateful to receive a grant from the States of Guernsey which is a proportion of the rent we pay the various venues where the competitions are held. Unfortunately, the costs rise every year and therefore we would like to appeal for the largest possible membership to support this annual Island Festival.
